The best part of a vacation, besides being away from the everyday stress of working, is time for breakfast every day. Be it stopping in the lobby of the hotel for some pastry and coffee or a real sit-down diner style breakfast, it’s a great way to start the day.
One of my favorites has to be Biscuits and Gravy. When you “cheat” at home, this is so unbelievable simple. Twenty minutes tops, with very little fuss and bother.
Cheaters Biscuits and Gravy
1 lb Breakfast Sausage (Jimmy Dean)
1 Package Breakfast Gravy Mix (Jimmy Dean)
6-8 Pillsbury Southern Style Biscuits (frozen section)
Bake biscuits according to package.
While biscuits are baking, crumble and brown 1/2 of the sausage until cooked through (reserve the other half to cook up as sausage patties). Drain pan. Add packaged gravy mix. Use milk to make gravy. Season with salt & pepper to taste.
Remove biscuits from oven, split open and cover with gravy.
Delicious all on their own or serve with scrambled eggs and patty sausages for a complete breakfast.
